E.K. Associates partnered with Saab to implement the Aerobahn Airport Surface Management System at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)—one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs. Beginning in 2017, E.K. Associates played a critical role in deploying and optimizing a comprehensive surface surveillance and airport operations platform designed to enhance situational awareness, improve ramp efficiency, and strengthen airfield safety.

Working closely with LAWA, airlines, and ground service providers, E.K. Associates delivered a fully integrated solution combining real-time surveillance, predictive insights, and workflow automation to modernize airside operations across the airport ecosystem.

Led End-to-End Aerobahn Implementation for a Major U.S. Airport

We planned, configured, integrated, and supported the operational rollout of Saab’s Aerobahn system, including system tuning, stakeholder coordination, and readiness activities.

Integrated Multilateration (MLAT) Surveillance Infrastructure

We supported the installation and integration of a 51-sensor multilateration (MLAT) system providing precise positional data for aircraft and authorized vehicles across runways, taxiways, gates, and terminal movement areas.

Developed Custom APIs & Mobile Capabilities

We engineered API integrations and mobile applications extending Aerobahn functionality to airline and ground operations teams requiring real-time visibility in the field.

Enabled Stakeholder Adoption Across Airlines & Service Providers
